The battle within the storm - Raijin and Fujin
The battle withing the storm seemed to be appropriate title for this piece, since it depicts the Japanese deities Raijin (Thunder and lightning God) fighting Fujin (Wind God), their animosity producing the storm in the skies.
This is one of the first pieces I sculpted in soft clay, I enjoyed the process very much and was pleased with the results as it allowed for a lot of detail.
Once the sculpted piece is ready it is utilized to produce a mold, which is later used to make a wax figure to use for casting.
The final result being this bronze belt buckle to be gifted to a close friend.
Within the Lotus
This pendant was my very first project when I was first taking Jewelry Class. Through this piece I learned to solder by a technique called "Sweat soldering". Even though the pendant was completed, it took a long time to find an arrangement that complemented it. I decided that wooden beads would complement the design and the concept of this piece.
Vintage Fleur
I was commissioned to make a vintage wedding hair clip. It was definitely an exciting process, I asked the bride for photos of her wedding dress and other info so that I could build the designed to be influenced and in turn compliment her dress.
As always i love to work with vintage designs which in my case are always heavily influenced by nature and the style of art nouveau.
It was exciting to deliver it and to see how much she loved it.

Art Nouveau hair Pin
Media: Silver wire, plate and China Jade
Techniques: Soldering, doming & stamping
Class: Jewelry Culture & Creation - Art 1040
The objective of this piece was to design and construct a multipurpose jewelry piece and if possible combine two jewelry making approaches or techniques.
I can definitely say that i was happy with the results when I completed this piece, it embodied the feeling and overall idea of art nouveau with elegance and natural flow present in its design. I like this design and wanted for it to be a multipurpose piece, therefore this is not only a hair pin but can also be used as a broach and even as a pendant. The aspects that would need improvement would the the stamping and perhaps the closure in the back, so that it is more accessible and easier to manipulate.

Nouveau meets Tribal style - earrings
Media: Silver wire, casting shot & plate.
Techniques: Soldering, forging & piercing.
Class: Jewelry Culture & Creation - Art 1040
This project was a second project where two simple jewelry making techniques combine to make the elements or materials work for the design.
I have definitely been fortunate to be able to work in a class constructing jewelry, to me jewelry making is not only a great passion but another outlet for my creativity
The artistic style known as art nouveau has always had an impression in me and has always influenced my work. For the design of these earrings I tried to merge the flow and grace of art nouveau along with the style used in the design of Tribal jewelry in regions like Africa and middle eastern countries.
The process for making these earrings proved to be some what difficult due to the multiple seems that needed soldering, these presents a struggle as far as trying not to melt the smaller elements of the earring. Regardless the obstacles I am extremely pleased with the results for this particular design. I hope to be able to practice more the process for making pieces like this one and through practice achieving more refined pieces.

A gift of Zen
This frame design evolved from a different piece (which I will still make in the near future). The idea came from thinking about the ripples that rain drops make when they land, and if the moment were to freeze in time so that they stood still. Once the deign for this idea was drawn, I realized that it resembled a Zen garden and decided to take away some droplets and add oxidation for further similarity. I love the design as it has it's own uniqueness about it, also it does not just portray my own interpretation but it is open for multiple others.
Petrified rain drops
Inspired by the magical moment when a rain drop reaches it's destination, leaving a brief message that is a fading ripple. A moment in time that disappears and is hardly ever noticed by our eyes or minds.
Ocean fire
Media: half round silver wire, silver bezel and plate , carnelian cabochon stone, nickel plate and hair clip.
Techniques: Piercing, crimping, forging & Soldering.
Class: Intermediate jewelry - Art 2040
After designing this hair-clip, it sat on my sketchbook for a couple of months, I couldn't see much potential or promise in it, but sometimes one has to just go ahead take a leap and give an idea wings. In this case my idea started to transform before my eyes, the changes the design suffered along the way were conceived on how the material reacted and with each stroke of the hammer inspired me.
The beauty of change happening within your hands and seeing a mere thought materialize in front of you, makes you feel all kinds of wonder and aw as to any artistic process, in my case particularly silversmithing.
I got a knack, a passion, a dream, and I intend to follow it.
